Curtain Rises for Upper School Drama Production of "Harvey"
Rutgers Prep proudly presents "Harvey" by Mary Chase, a Pulitzer Prize-winning American classic. Performances will take place Thursday through Saturday, April 24–26, at 7 p.m. in the Renda Black Box Theater.
Our students have put in weeks of focused, creative effort to bring this production to life. Now it’s time for that hard work to shine as the curtain rises for the Upper School spring drama production. We hope you’ll join us!

Overview:
Elwood P. Dowd wants his friend Harvey to accompany him everywhere – even to his sister Veta’s social gatherings. Trouble is, Harvey is an imaginary six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit. To avoid future embarrassment for her family—and especially for her daughter, Myrtle Mae—Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium. But bringing medical professionals into the family conflict only complicates matters and forces everyone to consider what is more important – fitting in with society, or seeing the best in all visible – and invisible – creatures.
