David Wurtzel ’49 writes: “My third great grandson is taking his first steps! The picture attached is from a screenshot taken during our monthly family Zoom session. I'm the oldest Wurtzel (92); he's the youngest (0.75). His dad is 35. Note all measurements are in the same units. RPS training!”

MaryBeth Stone ’65

A song co-written by MaryBeth Stone ’65—"Yuletidin' with You"—was used in the opening sequence of the Nicely Entertainment movie, "Christmas at the Amish Bakery." It was also just released on all social platforms by recording artist J4.

Rabbi Kenneth Cohen ’70 was made a 33rd degree Mason on August 22, 2023.

Charlie Daniel ’76

Charlie Daniel ’76 and Melissa traveled to India and Nepal in the fall. Their travels included two national parks, the Taj Mahal, and other incredible sights and cultural experiences. One of the national parks, in Central India, was a Bengal tiger preserve. Half of all visitors never see a tiger, but they would see a tigress with just ten minutes left on their last day in the park.

Frederick Withum ’79

Frederick Withum ’79 writes: “After retiring, with 35 years in public education, as the Superintendent of Schools for the Cumberland Valley School District and as an adjunct professor for Shippensburg University, Dr. Withum began serving as the Director of Educational Planning at Crabtree Rorbaugh and Associates completing demographic and educational studies for school districts considering capitol improvement projects, new schools, and/or redistricting. Dr. Withum lives in Boiling Springs, PA with his wife of nearly 40 years. His son and daughter-in-law, both public school teachers, live with their daughter nearby as does his other son who works in admissions at Harrisburg University.”

Amy Dara Hochberg PhD ’88

Amy Dara Hochberg, PhD ’88 successfully defended her thesis in October 2023, at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Translation and Language Sciences while freelancing as a language specialist, which includes translation, cultural adaptation, proofreading, and editing.

Warner Howard ’00

Warner Howard ’00 writes: “2023 marks my 17th year of teaching, and for the past seven years I have worked in special education, most recently for Charlottesville City Schools. My wife, Ashley, works in social services for a company called Charlottesville Health Partnership. My son, Warner V, is a freshman at Charlottesville High School. My eldest daughter, Nadia, is an eighth grader at Buford Middle School. My younger daughters, Noelle (5) and Naomi (4), attend kindergarten and pre-kindergarten, respectively, at Charlottesville Day School.”

Justin Hollander ’02

Justin Hollander ’02 married Lauren Hayes on October 7. Surrounded by family, friends and Argonauts, the couple celebrated their wonderful wedding in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Jillian Angeline ’08 is now host and producer of the "Props Clear" podcast. As a Part-107 certified drone pilot and career broadcast journalist, she's using her skills to create an educational and entertaining show. Jillian is talking with drone industry leaders across the world to improve public perception around the unmanned aircraft. You can listen wherever you get your podcasts or watch the episodes on her YouTube channel.

Minti Patel ’09

Minti Patel ’09 writes: “After three years in Seattle, my husband, Madhav, and I have moved back - couldn't stay away from New Jersey! We settled in Berkeley Heights, NJ and welcomed a baby boy, Kairav, in October.”

Kelsey Rene ’09

Kelsey Rene ’09 married Kelsey Brooke on October 21, 2023 at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC. They met in playing rugby together. They happily reside in Durham, NC with their two dogs. Kristen Sheft ’09, Carole Zboray, and Heidi Kearnan were all in attendance.

Jacquie Pizzuto Hern ’11

Jacquie Pizzuto Hern ’11 and husband Jackson Hern welcomed Isaac Anthony on October 23. Big sister, Lucia, is over the moon, too!

Christian Klipstein ’15

Christian Klipstein ’15 is engaged to Sarah Esserman. The engagement happened on November 24 at Blooming Grove Hunting and Fishing Club in Hawley, PA. We have known each other our whole lives, and both of their families have been members at Blooming Grove for decades.

Andrew Crystal ’17, Alex Masella ’17, Robert Rittenhouse ’17, and Robert Sullivan ’17 gathered together in Colorado. They climbed Aspen Mountain and had a whitewater rafting adventure in the Arkansas River.

Taylor Williams ’20

Taylor Williams ’20, a senior at Dartmouth, earned an All-Ivy League Second Team Distinction. She joins 33 other athletes across Ivy League women's soccer to receive the honor. Taylor was recently featured here in The Dartmouth.
