Addison Halpern ’25 Featured on Podcast with U.S. Soccer Icon Abby Wambach

Addison Halpern ’25 recently appeared on the "Attacking Third" podcast with U.S. Women’s National Team legend Abby Wambach.

The pair of prolific goal scorers spoke with host Lisa Carlin about Addison’s standout high school career, her excitement about starting her freshman season at the University of Virginia, and a fun bit of soccer trivia they share: both were named Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year.

Abby also offered Addison advice on playing soccer at the college and professional levels. She encouraged Addison to spend time with teammates who share her ambition to one day go pro, saying they’ll be the ones who push her the most. Abby shared that while the journey will come with “trials” and “ups and downs," the key is how Addison responds to those challenges.
