Addison Halpern ’25 Wins Two National High School Player of the Year Awards

Rutgers Prep senior Addison Halpern ’25 was named the 2024 Girls High School Player of the Year by United Soccer Coaches and the 2024-25 National Girls Soccer Player of the Year by Gatorade, both prestigious honors recognizing the top players in the country.

Addison's 2024-25 season was extraordinary, with 44 goals and 14 assists, totals that also earned her Player of the Year honors from NJ.com for the second year in a row. Over her high school career, Addy amassed 180 goals and 68 assists, solidifying her place among the best goal scorers ever to play in New Jersey.

With contributions from Halpern and all of her teammates, the Argonauts were a perfect 23-0 and won their second-straight Somerset County championship and third consecutive Non-Public B state championship, propelling them to the No. 1 ranking in both the state and the country.

Last summer, Addison also represented the U.S. National Team at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, where she helped secure a bronze medal. As one of just two high school players on the roster, she stood out as the youngest at only 17 years old.

Congratulations to Addy on an incredible year!
