Beginner Sewing Workshop

Camp Overview:

This camp is a beginner sewing workshop for students entering grades 5–12. During the week, participants will learn how to piece together printed sewing patterns, mark and cut fabric, use a sewing machine for basic stitches such as straight stitch and zigzag stitch, and more. This workshop is intended to introduce a new skill to students with minimal to no sewing experience. Join us for a week of learning, crafting, and fun!

Participants will end the week with at least two completed projects to take home: at least one wearable item, and at least one decorative or functional item (e.g. throw pillow, pillowcase, zipper pouch). Materials and tools will be provided, but students are welcome (and encouraged!) to bring their own supplies and/or sewing machines from home to use throughout the week. Please bring a snack for break time.
